Privacy Policy

How Mentio handles your data. Last updated: June 2026.

1. Who we are

Mentio ("we", "us") provides a GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) visibility tracking service. The data controller is Giacomo Cavalcabò (sole trader / ditta individuale), Italian VAT IT13808610961, Via Giorgio Washington 85, 20146 Milano (MI), Italy, reachable at privacy@usementio.eu.

2. Data we collect

Account data: email address and, if provided, name — handled through our authentication provider (Supabase).
Service data you create: the domains, brands, competitors and prompts you add, and the probe results we generate for them.
Billing data: processed by Stripe. We store a customer reference and your plan/credit balance, not your card details.
Technical data: logs and basic request metadata needed to run and secure the service.

3. Why we use it (legal bases)

To provide the service and your account (performance of a contract); to bill you (contract / legal obligation); to keep the service secure and improve it (legitimate interest). We do not sell your data.

4. Processors and third parties

We share data only with providers that help us run Mentio: Supabase (authentication & database), Railway (hosting), Stripe (payments), Vercel (website hosting), and the AI engines we probe on your behalf (OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity, Google). Your prompts are sent to those engines to measure visibility.

5. Retention

We keep account and service data for as long as your account is active, and delete or anonymise it within a reasonable period after you close your account, unless we must keep it for legal/accounting reasons.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

You can request access, correction, deletion, portability, or object to certain processing, by emailing privacy@usementio.eu. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the EEA under appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses).

8. Cookies

We use only the cookies/local storage required to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences. No advertising trackers.
